For Industrial Facilities & Solar Operators

Catch the failing diode before it drags down the whole string.

Full-array radiometric grid scans and GPS-tagged hotspot logs for solar farms, substations, and industrial rooftops. Engineer-ready data, recurring O&M cycles, and a fraction of the cost of manual inspection.

The Stakes

Every undetected hotspot is lost yield — or worse.

A single failing bypass diode can pull down an entire string. A loose lug in a combiner can become a fire. Manual IV-curve tracing across hundreds of acres is slow and expensive; a radiometric aerial grid scan finds the same faults in hours, with GPS coordinates your techs can walk straight to.

What Operators Are Fighting

  • String-level underperformance with no visible cause
  • Hotspots, cracked cells, and PID invisible from the ground
  • Manual inspection costs that don't scale past a few megawatts
  • Warranty claims that fail without documented fault evidence
  • Electrical and mechanical hotspots across plant infrastructure

What an Aerial Thermal Program Delivers

  • Full-array radiometric grid scan, module-level resolution
  • GPS-tagged hotspot log — walk directly to the fault
  • Visual + thermal image pairs for every anomaly
  • Raw radiometric export for your engineering team
  • Recurring O&M cycles with year-over-year comparison

FAQ

Questions industrial & solar operators ask us.

What faults can an aerial thermal scan actually detect?

Failing bypass diodes, hotspot cells, cracked modules, PID signatures, string outages, soiling patterns, combiner and connection heating, and transformer or switchgear anomalies on the balance of system. Each finding comes with a radiometric temperature value and GPS position.

What conditions do you need to fly?

Solar scans require roughly 600 W/m² irradiance or better — typically mid-morning to mid-afternoon on clear days. We schedule flexibly around South Georgia weather windows and can stage multi-day campaigns for large sites.

How does pricing scale for large arrays?

The $1,200 day rate anchors single-site engagements; utility-scale sites and recurring O&M programs are quoted per megawatt and cycle count. Multi-cycle annual contracts receive program pricing.
